The remote is just there for fine adjustment if you would prefer other colors, speeds, etc. The flowers feel like they are decently made, but the 'branch' sections look much cheaper, looking like they are wrapped in electrical tape style material. The item comes folded up, and you have to arrange the flowers yourself. However, there seems like enough flowers that it wouldn't seem unsightly. It looks better in a dark room where the flowers draw all of the attention.

United StatesI ordered 2 lavender and wasn't quite sure how the quality would be when I got them in person..When I got the boxes the flowers were all in one bunch, so I careful arranged the stems and was impressed with the texture of the petals. They were soft almost like a material and when I got done with it and put the lights on ..it was beautiful. I bought 2 to give one away, but I kept both and I'm ordering 2 more ,different colors, I know I'll give one away but I'll keep the others to put in different rooms...I would highly recommend this item !!
It was absolutely beautiful in person when I opened it, and it was also packed with great care so the petals on the roses weren't damaged or bent! It's also not heavy, so I feel better about having it since I live in a house with children. It's the perfect night light of sorts too, great for having on while I wind down at night. All in all, it was exactly what I needed and wanted in a lamp, and I'm very happy that I bought it! (And please excuse the mess on my nightstand in the photo I provided; I'm in the process of redecorating my room.)
